HAPPY HEARTS DAY - girlintherapy

Happy Hearts Day

That’s my way of saying Happy Valentines, and Happy Singles Awareness Day.

Borrowing the lyrics from Kermit the Frog’s “Rainbow Connection” (who doesn’t love that song!)… I just wanted to give a shout out to every single soul that sees this post…

The MOST IMPORTANT love is the love for yourself. Yes, self-love. Please remember to love YOUrself today. You are your best Valentine!

Nothing can ever replace the love one has for themself. No one can do it but you. No one can love you better than you!

You may not have it now nor know how to do it yet, but baby steps… This applies to me too for sure. It’s not easy, and may be a long winding road, but you’ll get there.

You got this, ok!

Hearts to you, you and you!

I really like the positivity of your message. It’s so important to love ourselves and take as good care of ourselves, physically and emotionally, as we do of others. If we don’t value ourselves and nourish our own health, we really don’t have much to offer others, either.

Thanks so much for sharing this lovely and encouraging post at the #TrafficJamWeekend. So glad to have you join us and participate. ?

If we don’t know how to love ourselves, how can we expect someone to love us back.

🙂 PS, I also adore that song

Happy Love Day to you too! I find it’s one of the hardest things to do, to love yourself and you’re right it does take baby steps in many cases to fully appreciate the wonder and beauty within ourselves.

Well, we all gotta start somewhere, Ivonne. After being diagnosed as Codependent – which usually means self-love is much lacking – I learnt that I have low self-esteem, or sometimes I like to joke, no self-esteem ? Love for SELF is hard for me, doesn’t come easy/natural since I have been hugely criticised (with no affirmation) from my mom growing up.

I hope you will start your journey of self-love too… 🙂
